Cuando usted presenta un documento ante una corte de inmigración, también debe entregar ("serve" en inglés) una copia a la Oficina del Asesor Legal Principal de ICE (OPLA, por sus siglas en inglés) para esa corte.
Usted puede hacerlo en persona, por correo, o a veces en línea. Si usted está en una audiencia en persona en la corte, generalmente puede entregar una copia al abogado de OPLA que está sentado en la otra mesa de la sala. De lo contrario, puede enviar una copia por correo a la oficina de OPLA o entregarla en persona en esa oficina.
Todos los documentos presentados ante una corte de inmigración también deben incluir un "certificado de notificación" (“Certificate of Service” en inglés) firmado, en el que se indique que usted entregó una copia a OPLA.
