Written by ASAP’s expert immigration lawyers · Updated October 9, 2025

This document is an “Order of Supervision,” also called Form I-220B. The U.S. government gives this document to some people who were given a deportation order but who were not removed to their country of origin. Some people who are granted withholding of removal or protection under the Convention Against Torture (CAT) may also receive this document.

This form includes some requirements and conditions of supervision, such as going to ICE check-ins and will include an ICE check-in log. If you want to change your ICE check-in appointment, you can consider taking these steps.

Generally, you can apply for a work permit (under category (c)(18)) if you received a deportation order and an order of supervision. If you were granted withholding of removal, you can apply under a separate category, (a)(10). Read more here.
