ASAP Resource Sharing Policy

Thank you for your interest in sharing or translating resources from the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP)!

Sharing ASAP resources digitally (for example, website or social media)

You are welcome to share direct links to ASAP resources online, for example on your website or social media account!

However, ASAP does NOT give permission to copy or reproduce ASAP resources in English or Spanish online. This is because ASAP updates our resources almost every day – to keep up with rapidly changing legal information. Copies or reproductions of resources may quickly become out of date, and the immigration consequences of outdated information can be serious.

Sharing ASAP resources in print (for example, flyers)

ASAP gives permission to share print versions of ASAP resources under the conditions that you:

  1. Do not charge money for the information.

  2. Use the following language to credit ASAP and to link to the original ASAP resource on our website, at the top of the document: “This resource was created by ASAP. You can view the original resource and any updates on ASAP’s website: [direct link to the resource].”

  3. Share the resources with the intent to help immigrants in the U.S.

Translating ASAP resources into languages other than English or Spanish

ASAP gives permission to translate ASAP resources under the conditions that you:

  1. Do not charge money for the information.

  2. Use the following language to credit ASAP and to link to the original ASAP resource on our website, at the top of the translation: “This resource was created by ASAP and translated by [Organization or Individual Name]. You can view the original resource and any updates on ASAP’s website: [direct link to the resource].”

  3. Share the resources with the intent to help immigrants in the U.S.
