This document is the first page of a longer document where the government records information and notes about a Credible Fear Interview (CFI). If you had a CFI, you may have a document that looks like this. A CFI is an interview with an asylum officer who asks you many questions about where you are from, why you left your country, and why you are afraid to go back. After asking you many questions, the asylum officer determines whether or not you established a credible fear of persecution or torture based on your answers.

The Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP) aims to provide factual information about current immigration laws. This information is not legal advice.
