On April 1, 2024, USCIS will increase the fee for some applications, including the fee for asylum seekers to renew their work permits. You can submit your work permit renewal application before April 1, 2024 to pay the lower fee of $410.

Starting on April 1, 2024, the increased amount will depend on whether you submit your renewal work permit application online or by mail.

There is still no fee for the asylum application (Form I-589) or for your first work permit as an asylum seeker. This has not changed.
